How many of you have had your minutes, days, hours, years, lives messed up by football game days? Of course they are not just game days anymore. There is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday night and of course Sunday (all day) football. There are 24/7 highlights, film anaylsis, play by play, old super bowl highlights, new super bowl highlights, NFL access shows,, for those that need there 24/7 fix for their addictions or is it an obsession?
I'm not sure what it is but 31 years ago I married one of these men and I'm reaching the end of my rope!
Family gatherings, weddings, funerals, birthdays, annivesaries, holidays and more scheduled around a football game...that's right a GAME ~ Today happened to be my sons 19th birthday but the Steeler game controlled the parameters of the celebration only to end in a "heart break" loss. The man doesn't know what a heart break is...yet.
Joceyln, my deepest sympathy to you on another football season. Last night Brian came out of our bedroom and said to me,"Sandy, Dave Villiotti is dying right now." I jumped up and said, "WHAAAATT???" and then Brian said, "No, noooo, I am talking about the Steelers losing in overtime!" Honestly Joc, it really scared me. I thought he had heard something terrible about Dave. I'm really glad he is OK and it was just a football game although I'm sure Dave would not appreciate my saying "just a football game." :)
